Berge & Meer: 6% discount

The partner company Berge & Meer offers round-trip tours, adventure trips, combination trips, and cruises. A special perk of Berge & Meer is the many included services and extras available at no additional cost. Through the IG Metall Service Company, all metalworkers receive a six percent discount at Berge & Meer. The discount cannot be applied retroactively after a booking has already been made.

Eurofun Touristik: 8% discount

Our Austrian partner, Eurofun Touristik, organizes guided cycling, hiking, and active travel tours. Under the slogan “Eurobike,” the tour operator offers cycling vacations throughout Europe, featuring hotels and accommodations specifically designed for cycling enthusiasts. All trips are fully organized—including a detailed orientation briefing, luggage transfer from one accommodation to the next, travel documents, and a service hotline. 

Under the slogan “Eurohike,” hiking trips of varying difficulty levels are offered. The tour operator organizes hiking routes, accommodations, luggage transport, and transfers. The trips are suitable for the whole family and are tailored to the needs of active vacationers. 

Through the IG Metall Service Company, members receive an 8 percent discount from Eurofun Touristik on all base prices for cycling, hiking, and active travel packages. Exclusions include bike rentals, half-board, single-room supplements, and extra days. The discount cannot be combined with other discounts.

The vacation provider of the IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt union operates eleven of its own hotels and vacation resorts in Germany and France. German Youth Hostels: For Young and Old

The German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) operates more than 400 youth hostels nationwide. They are affordable, especially for families. From the Alps to the Zittau Mountains, there are countless adventures to be had. Youth hostels are the perfect place for a short getaway in Germany’s most beautiful cities. Anyone wishing to stay there must first become a member of the DJH. IG Metall members can sign up for one of a total of 100 DJH memberships through the service company; these are free for the first year.The offer is valid through December 31 of the respective year.

Plopsaland 

The Plopsaland Deutschland amusement park (formerly Holiday Park) is located in Haßloch in the Palatinate and offers fun for the whole family with themed areas, shows, and rides. IG Metall members can purchase discounted tickets through the service company’s website until the end of the season. Prices are based on height: Children under 85 centimeters get free admission. Children between 85 and 99 centimeters pay 19 euros. Adults and children over 100 centimeters pay 44 euros instead of 54 euros. Please note: Each child is measured with shoes on.
