European industrial policy For a strong European industry with good jobs

Over 6,000 participants: On February 5, IG Metall and many other European industrial unions put pressure on the European Commission with a day of action in Brussels. The Commission must ensure a strong European industry with good jobs through a European industrial strategy.

On February 5, IG Metall and many European industrial unions put pressure on the European Commission in Brussels with a day of action for good and secure industrial jobs in Europe. Over 6,000 colleagues demanded that the Commission adopt a clear European industrial strategy—a genuine “Clean Industrial Deal.” The deindustrialization of Europe must be stopped, and massive investments must be made in industry. The call to action came from IndustriAll Europe, the federation of European industrial unions.

Politicians in Germany must also take action to safeguard German industry. That is why IG Metall is calling for a Day of Action for Industry and Employment on March 15 .
