Hate divides workforces and society as a whole. IG Metall stands for solidarity, cohesion, and respect.

From March 16 to 29, 2026, we’re calling on all IG Metall members to take action in support of these values. This coincides with the International Weeks Against Racism, which take place during this period. This year’s motto: “100% Human Dignity. Together Against Racism and Right-Wing Extremism.”

We’re offering you plenty of materials and ideas for your actions—whether for the workplace, online, or on the streets.

Here’s what you can do online:

Use the hashtag #non-negotiable for everything you post on this topic. The hashtag connects all your online actions.
Share our #non-negotiable graphics (see below) on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
Use the printable template to take photos and videos and show what is #non-negotiable to you.
Show what you stand for during video calls: use our virtual backgrounds ( see below).
If you post something on Instagram, feel free to tag IG Metall. Then we can repost it in our Story Highlights.

Here’s what you can do in person:

Use our printable templateto make strong statements on bulletin boards, in windows, or on car windows.
Use our (removable) stickers to cover up racist graffiti or make a statement. You can request the stickers from your local IG Metall office.
Use the posters with statements and hang them up at your workplaces—whether in the works council office, the break room, or the elevators. You can also request the posters from your local IG Metall office.
