IG Metall Küste and the Schleswig-Holstein Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Trade Association reached a collective bargaining agreement in the second round of negotiations for workers in the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning trades in Schleswig-Holstein.
The details of the agreement
Wages will increase by 2.9 percent effective May 1, 2026, and by an additional 3.2 percent effective May 1, 2027. The new base wage (100-percent value) will thus be 19.65 euros as of May 1, 2026, and 20.28 euros as of May 1, 2027.
Salaries will increase by 115 euros as of May 1, 2026, and by another 75 euros one year later, as of May 1, 2027.
Apprenticeship stipends will be increased in two steps by a total of 150 euros. Starting August 1, 2026, and August 1, 2027, there will be an additional 75 euros per year of apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship stipends as of August 1, 2026:
- 1st year of training: 925 euros
- 2nd year of training: 995 euros
- 3rd year of training: 1,075 euros
- 4th year of training: 1,155 euros
Apprenticeship wages effective August 1, 2027:
- 1st year of training: 1,000 euros
- 2nd year of training: 1,070 euros
- 3rd year of training: 1,150 euros
- 4th year of training: 1,230 euros
The collective bargaining agreement on wages and salaries has a term of 24 months and may be terminated for the first time on April 30, 2028. The collective bargaining agreement on apprenticeships may be terminated for the first time on July 31, 2028.
