IG Metall and the Federal Association of Parquet and Flooring Technology have reached a collective bargaining agreement. Approximately 14,800 employees, most of whom work in small businesses, will benefit from the agreement.
The Agreement in Detail
Effective January 1, 2026, wages will increase by 2.9 percent according to the pay scale, and one year later, on January 1, 2027, by 3.1 percent.
Apprenticeship stipends will increase by 60 euros per year of training starting January 1, 2026. An additional increase of 40 euros will take effect on January 1, 2027.
Starting January 1, 2026, apprenticeship stipends will be as follows:
1st year of training: 940 euros
2nd year of training: 990 euros
3rd year of training: 1,060 euros
Starting January 1, 2027, the apprenticeship stipends will be:
1st year of training: 980 euros
2nd year of training: 1,030 euros
3rd year of training: 1,100 euros
The collective bargaining agreement may be terminated for the first time as of December 31, 2027.
