Jörg Hofmann: “Europe must ensure sustainable growth while simultaneously advancing climate protection. Both are possible. Bringing together social issues, ecology, and digitalization could become a hallmark of Europe. This requires an active and coordinated industrial policy; the market alone will not achieve this. There is no way around European battery cell production if we are to strengthen our industrial base. In the future, the automotive industry’s innovative strength and value creation will converge in this technology.”
