“A necessary and important step: The investment booster is coming. Industry and its workers, in particular, need better investment conditions and targeted support. Now it’s time to roll up our sleeves, get to work, and make the most of it. And we need to take the next steps: Workers with low and moderate incomes must continue to receive relief.

To companies and employers, let me say this: Live up to your responsibilities now. Closing plants and laying off workers while policymakers quickly approve investments, tax breaks, and support measures—that just doesn’t add up!”
